Continental Tires?

Are continental tires any good? They sell them at wal-Mart...for my truck they have goodyear and continental.

they are pretty good, offer decent traction and treadwear
goodyear tires are OK depending on the model of the tire

Michelin and BFGoodrich are the best that i work

Vernon's largest employer, Continental Tire, is looking to hire several hundred new employees - bringing in new families and new opportunities in a county that has an unemployment rate of 8. "General Tire is pretty much the backbone now," Tami Hoddes said. "This is the best paying job in southern Illinois right now," Hoddes told Local 6. Down the street from the plant - and inside the Spot Tavern - Gilliam is thrilled she could be getting some new customers. And the people who live here say that's much needed good news. "The towns have all went to pot and stuff because that used to be the backbone of southern Illinois," she added. Hoddes believes Mt. Vernon and the surrounding communities are still having a difficult time making up for it, but she hopes her company's expansion turns the tide. VERNON, Ill.

Now that I'm in grad school and commuting to work for the summer and school during the year, I'm starting to rack up the miles quicker than when I was in undergrad but I still don't put a ton on, as the Honda is the trip car (its a Honda. Heard good things about Continental tires. So I don't want to shell out a ton for tires that last 80k or something because I very likely will not even come close to mileage life. I'm looking to spend less than $100 a tire. So I'm wondering what a good tire would be to get. Anyway, I have my '99 thats in need of tires. Hubby is running Khumos on his Accord, but with less mileage has very little tread left (he's put 30k on his). I'm currently running Hancooks that were put on the car almost 5 years and 40k ago. The tread is actually still really good but they are starting to develop dry rot due to the number of years on them. plus it keeps the miles off my car.
