I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma 4X4. My rims are 14 inches and I would like to put larger tires on my truck. What are the best tires I can buy? I use it mostly for street but sometimes find myself in the snow or mud. In addition, I currently get around 19
Hi,
Unfortunately what you mentioned isn't actually possible. A 2005 Toyota Tacoma CANNOT fit 14 inch wheels. It is physically impossible to get that size of wheel over the brake caliper. Even on the most basic model of 2WD, it was a

MIINCH, ATK MOTORSPORTS WIN AND PLACE 3RD IN THE ASA TRUCK SEASON OPENER!!!
06.02.89
In his debut race for the ATK Motorsports team, Miinch qualified 2nd for the main event and held on for the 50-lap race win to score his first ever truck series victory. Due to the roll-of the dice invert, Miinch started the main in 3rd and quickly secured a 2nd place position behind race leader Scott Franchimone (#12) who led the field to the green after a 4th place qualifier. “Their truck was better on the short runs and it seemed ours was better on the longer run. After numerous cautions for wrecks behind the leaders, Miinch passed race leader Franchimone after an apparent right front flat ended their evening. “It would have been nice to have raced the 12 at the end for the win”, Miinch added. Thank you to Dallas Leininger , Kevin Smith and the ATK guys for giving me a truck I could win with this weekend.
Pro Comp Tire & Wheel Upgrade for Marcos' 2004 2WD Toyota Tacoma ...

hey Marcus, you got that truck looking good, I have a 2000 tundra and was looking for some different wheels I like these I couldn’t decide if i wanted polished aluminun wheels or what. now that I see these wheels on your truck I think I’ll go with a similar wheel where I can paint the centers to match the truck (dark metalic green). The tires are taller and wider, and the wheels came with a 4-5/8 inch backspacing to easily clear a four piston caliper (oversized). And just to let you know I put a K&N cold air kit and dual exhaust on my tundra and it made a big difference in throttle response and torque plus it sounds great I don’t know what engine you have but you might want to look into it. Keep up the mods. The rule of thumb here is to stick with the same stock size diameter package or an inch bigger (in this case 17×9 on 265/75r17 if I wanted to). Never go down on size. Thats about the only thing I don’t like about my truck and thats the brakes. Fifteen inches would not have......

The extra height in front gives the truck a nice even look, with a good chunk of traction help from 265/70R16 BFGoodrich tires and unique beadlock-style rims. Toyota is likely to produce only about 1000 of the pickups in both Access and Double Cab
