Has anyone ever Added an extended swing tongue on their boat trailer?

Trailer is 17 ft with 15 ft tri hull on on it. When putting boat in often the back wheels of my ford ranger are in water. Couple times got stuck wheels spinning on slime covered ramps. Wanted to know if its worth extending the tongue of my trailer

It will work just fine.As for balancing the trailer this is not hard either.To accomplish this all you need to do is move the Axel on the trailer.You want about 100lb.of tongue weight so you will need to move your Axel forward.I hope this helps.
