What size tire do I need if I put 15x8 wheels on an old Ford van?

My 82 Econoline conversion has 235 75R 15's on its stock rims, but if I put 15x8 rims on it, what tire size would fit best without screwing up the speedo and causing clearance problems? thanks for any help
