i have a 98 dodge truck with 17" wheels....can i change them to 20" wheels?

I couldn't see any problem if the suspension is stock that you could probably go 22".

Steel Wheels. Need 'em. - Jeep Wrangler Forum

That lasted two years and after way too much fighting with bent and dented steel wheels from my desert wheeling, I gave up and went back to aluminum. Steel is fine for gentler trails but if you wheel much out in the desert where there are rocks, since you live in LA part of the year, I can't recommend you switch to steel. I spent way too much time on the trail with a small sledgehammer straightening the dents out of my steel wheels so they could hold air.
