How to i change the steering wheel on my car. I got a racing wheel that i wanna put on.
And bit of a stupid question but will it affect my insurance?

when i turn the wheel it goes half a turn freely, then engages the steering shaft n turns it just fine. now the steering wheel turns about 1/2 turn before the tires turn. whatever the part is that broke between the steering wheel and column is the problem i think. it has a huge hydraulic steering cylinder as well, so turning the wheels with the motor dead is very hard. i forced the steering wheel to turn and heard something break. well the steering shaft looks ok. and i dont think the steering box broke inside either. it still tilts, but i think that plastic part was part of the flex joint part. i think the flex joint part may have broken. and pieces of plastic fell out of the column and a spring is trying to come out too. What piece broke. a spring must have been attached to it because it fell out too. Could that cause the problem....
